The main objective is to develop properly designed catalytic system that will lower kinetic barriers for direct chemical utilization of methane and carbon dioxide to higher value products at mild conditions.  The results will advance the fundamental understanding of the mechanisms on different cluster morphologies as catalytic active centers.
