The TG/FTIR technique was used for quantitatively measuring dispersed BaO, studying NOx storage and interactions with reductants, and aging effect in LNT catalysts. NH3 adsorption and surface interaction with NOx were also studied with focus on the roles of acidic sites, O2 promotion, and Fe catalysis for Fe/ZSM-5 SCR catalysts.
