P-Tu-12 New starting materials for highly active molybdenum-vanadium based catalysts for the hydrotreatment of residues

PMo(12-x)VxO40(3+x)- have been impregnated on alumina. A reference MoP catalyst was also prepared before using it in a HDM test to incorporate vanadium. The activity increases with vanadium loading for impregnated catalysts instead of the decrease observed for the catalysts contaminated with vanadium : larger MoS2 sheets and pore plugging
