OD12 Biorenewable chemicals obtained using mesoporous molecular sieves containing niobium

For the study of glycerol acetalization with acetone and formaldehyde Nb-containing mesoporous molecualr sieves were chosen as catalyst. The results show that glycerol acetals can be effectively formed with use of heterogeneous acid catalysts, avoiding the use of hazard solvents.
