Core (WOx) – Shell (oleylamine)  ~2 nm nanoparticles were synthesized using a solvothermal method & were deposited on SiO2 support to study their propylene metathesis activity. The removal of oleylamine generated samples that were more active & selective than impregnated samples due to less aggregation of the WOx species.
