The research indicates that both pre-combustion and post-combustion solid adsorbents for CO2 can benefit from supporting the active phase on an inert support. The beneficial effects relate to the good accessibility of the active phase and the limited particle size of the sorbent. This opens new avenues for improving sorbent materials.
