Microkinetic modeling of glycerol hydrogenolysis using a Ru-Re bimetallic catalyst has been reported. Independent reactions with intermediate species (linear alcohols, diols, and syngas) as substrates were investigated to obtain better insight into the reaction mechanism, identify relevant reaction pathways for kinetic analysis, and improve the evaluation of kinetic parameters.
