OE49 Preparation, characterization, and evaluation of silica-supported, Group IB-Pd bimetallic catalysts prepared by electroless deposition methods

Electroless deposition has been used to prepare silica-supported Cu-Pd, Ag-Pd, and Au-Pd catalysts with systematic coverages of the Group IB component (θGroup IB  = 0 - 90%) on the Pd surface. The catalysts show enhanced selectivity for the selective hydrogenation of acetylene in the presence of ethylene.
